Böcker Breaks Ground on New Sustainable Service Centre in Southwest Germany

30 Second Takeaway

German crane and aerial lift manufacturer Böcker has officially broken ground on a new service centre in Eschbronn, Baden-Württemberg, expanding its aftersales, training, and rental capabilities in southwest Germany. Built on a 3,200 m² site and powered entirely by renewable energy, the facility reinforces Böcker’s long-term commitment to sustainable growth and customer support.

Böcker Expands Service Network in Baden-Württemberg

Böcker, the German manufacturer of cranes, hoists, and aerial lift equipment, has marked the official start of construction for a new service centre located on the Ob Heckenwald industrial estate in Eschbronn, southwest Germany.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place this week, attended by Managing Director Alexander Böcker, Eschbronn deputy mayor Rainer Scheck, members of the Böcker service team, and representatives from general contractor Freyler Industriebau.

Purpose-Built Facility for Service, Training and Rental

The new service centre will be developed on a 3,200 square metre site and will initially provide 650 square metres of covered space.

Planned facilities include:

  • A service hall with three fully equipped work bays

  • Storage and logistics areas

  • A wash-down area

  • A two-storey office wing

The centre will support maintenance, repairs, and testing of Böcker cranes, hoists, and lifts, while also offering operator training and equipment rental services.

Renewable Energy at the Core of the Project

Sustainability is central to the design of the new Böcker facility.

The entire site will be powered by renewable energy, using:

  • A photovoltaic solar system

  • Heat pump technology for heating and cooling

This aligns with Böcker’s broader commitment to energy-efficient operations and reduced environmental impact across its manufacturing and service infrastructure.

Growing Presence and New Jobs in the Region

With the addition of the Eschbronn facility, Böcker’s German footprint will expand to eight locations, including its headquarters in Werne.

The company is currently recruiting mechatronics technicians and mechanics to staff the new service centre, creating skilled jobs in the region.

Preliminary groundworks began in April, with building construction scheduled for June. The official opening of the new service centre is planned for spring next year.

Supporting Customers Across Southwest Germany

The new location strengthens Böcker’s ability to provide faster response times, localised service support, and hands-on training for customers operating cranes and lifting equipment throughout Baden-Württemberg and the surrounding regions.
