Driving Awareness and Reducing Stigma During the event, discussions emphasized the role of employers, co-workers and industry organizations  in supporting mental health and reducing stigma. The sessions highlighted the need for: Improved access to mental health resources Greater awareness and education Stronger workplace support systems The goal is to create a safer and more supportive environment for workers across construction and related industries. Industry Leadership and Long-Term Impact CONEXPO show director Dana Wuesthoff  emphasized the importance of prioritizing workforce well-being. “The construction industry is built on people, and supporting their well-being is essential to the future of our workforce. Our partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention helped bring important conversations about mental health to the forefront while also providing meaningful resources for the men and women who power this industry every day.” Funds raised will support AFSP’s mission , including research, education, advocacy and support for individuals affected by suicide.
