The 700-tonne unit will support heavy-lift operations across Global Crane Services and Global Wind Projects, both divisions of Global Port Services Scotland. Liebherr’s Largest Eight-Axle Mobile Crane The LTM 1650-8.1 is Liebherr’s largest crane on an eight-axle carrier, offering significant reach and lifting flexibility. Key specifications include: Basic telescopic boom length: 54 metres Maximum boom extension: 80 metres Luffing jib configuration: Up to 90 metres Maximum hook height: 152 metres with Y-guying Maximum working radius: 112 metres The crane’s configuration can be adapted for heavier lifts and wider working ranges, supporting demanding wind and industrial applications. Advanced Liebherr Technologies for Confined and Wind Conditions The LTM 1650-8.1 incorporates several of Liebherr’s latest safety and performance systems, including: WindSpeed load charts, allowing lift capacity calculations under varying wind conditions VarioBallast, enabling ballast radius adjustment via hydraulic slewing VarioBase, improving lifting performance even in confined or restricted setup areas These technologies enhance both operational safety and jobsite flexibility.
