Hyster-Yale joins IntegratR cooperative to accelerate zero-emission heavy-duty off-road equipment development.

The partnership builds on Hyster-Yale’s progress in electrification and hydrogen fuel cell technology and will centre around a new Innovation Campus in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Hyster-Yale Strengthens Zero-Emission Strategy Through its participation in IntegratR, Hyster-Yale aims to further advance the electrification already achieved across its Hyster big truck and container handling ranges, alongside its Nuvera fuel cell engine technology and the wider Hyster and Yale product portfolio. The cooperative approach is intended to shorten development cycles, reduce barriers to certification, and enable faster transition from prototype to series production for zero-emission heavy equipment. IntegratR Innovation Campus in Nijmegen A core element of the initiative is the creation of an Innovation Campus in Nijmegen, which will act as an international hub for industrial collaboration, research, and advanced testing. Planned Facilities Include: EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) test site Roll-on/roll-off quay for waterside logistics Outdoor equipment test track Megawatt charging infrastructure Hydrogen refuelling facilities The 17,500 m² canal-front site will allow realistic duty-cycle testing, logistics simulations and prototype validation under real-world conditions. The test track is scheduled for completion in 2026, with further campus capabilities planned for 2027. Collaborative Model for Faster Market Readiness IntegratR currently has two Core Partners: Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Urban Mobility Systems (UMS), part of DEUTZ AG Core Partner membership will be limited to a maximum of five companies, while the cooperative remains open to broader participation from: Industrial manufacturers Start-ups Research institutions Enabling technology partners This structure is intended to balance focused leadership with open innovation across the heavy-duty off-road ecosystem.
