A new ship-to-shore crane collapsed at the Port of Fort-de-France in Martinique on September 18. Two people suffered minor injuries and ten were treated for shock. One man was trapped on the 60-metre-high crane for over five hours before being rescued by fire services. Statements From Port Authority Bruno Mencé , Chairman of the port, stated: “The rescued man was not injured as such but was suffering from shock and had a pain in his side.” He also confirmed that a psychological support unit  was dispatched to the scene within one to two hours of the incident.
