Q Crane hire adds new Flagship

Following last year’s five-crane order, Q Crane andPlant Hire has returned to Liebherr to beef up its fleet with a 250 tonne crawler crane. The Stage V, LR 1250.1, the largest in the Q Plant fleet, has a 62 metre main boom and auxiliary sheave pack with associated hook blocks. The crane, which has a self-assembly counterweight system, comes with the maximum counterweight of 82 tonnes plus 36 tonnes of carbody ballast. It has also been supplied with the Gradient Travel Aid, which automatically calculates the machines centre of gravity to avoid dangerous operation. Q Plant has specified the new crane with camera systems on the rear, side and winches as well as LiDAT telematics and ECO silent package for more efficient operation. The crane has been finished in Q-Plant green to the boom head and rear counterweight. Managing Director Anthony Quinn commented: ‘We have been very impressed so far with our five LTR cranes purchased in 2021, this made the decision to go with the LR1250.1 a straight forward one. The strong duties, variety of configurations, fast set up times and the latest environmentally friendly Stage V engine gives Q Cranes customers the best all round package in this class.’ Q Crane & Plant Hire has been supplying cranes and construction plant for more than 45 years and runs its own dedicated transport fleet to move equipment to customers across the country.
