Crowland Cranes to Distribute SANY Mobile Cranes Across the UK

30-Second Takeaway

SANY UK has formed a strategic alliance with Crowland Cranes that will see the Peterborough-based company manage all future sales of SANY mobile cranes across Great Britain. The partnership will also strengthen after-sales support, including the addition of a new spare parts warehouse and closer collaboration between engineering teams to improve service response times and equipment availability.

Crowland Cranes to Manage SANY Mobile Crane Sales

SANY UK, the British subsidiary of Chinese crane manufacturer SANY, has announced a strategic alliance with Crowland Cranes beginning in March.

Under the agreement, Crowland Cranes will manage all future sales of SANY mobile cranes across Great Britain, while also expanding after-sales service and technical support for customers.

The partnership is designed to strengthen SANY’s presence in the UK crane market while providing improved access to service expertise, spare parts and engineering support.

New Parts Warehouse Planned at Peterborough Facility

A key element of the agreement will see a new replacement parts warehouse established at Crowland’s headquarters in Peterborough.

The facility will complement SANY UK’s existing support locations in:

  • Coatbridge, Scotland

  • Sittingbourne, Kent

Together, the expanded parts network aims to deliver:

  • Faster spare parts availability

  • Improved equipment uptime

  • Quicker response times for service support

As crane fleets become increasingly sophisticated, strong aftermarket support has become a critical factor for equipment owners and operators.

Engineering Teams to Collaborate on Service Support

SANY UK’s service engineering team, led by country manager Kevin Neal, will work closely with Crowland’s Peterborough-based service engineers.

The collaboration is intended to provide customers with stronger technical support and faster response times for maintenance and service requirements.

Neal described the partnership as an important step in strengthening SANY’s UK operations.

“This alliance represents a major step forward for SANY UK as we continue building a strong foundation of engineering excellence and customer support across Great Britain.”
“Working side by side with the highly skilled team at Crowland Cranes ensures our customers receive the confidence, service and technical expertise they expect when investing in a new manufacturer. We are excited to bring this next chapter to life and deliver a level of support that truly sets a new benchmark for the industry.”

First Stock Cranes Scheduled to Arrive

The first stock cranes are expected to arrive at Crowland in the coming weeks.

The initial lineup will include a range of models designed for various lifting applications, including:

  • 60 tonne all-terrain crane

  • 70 tonne all-terrain crane

  • 100 tonne all-terrain crane

  • 150 tonne all-terrain crane

  • 45 tonne rough terrain crane

  • 60 tonne telescopic crawler crane

  • 15 tonne industrial crane

Among the flagship models expected is the 150 tonne SANY SAC1500E all-terrain crane, designed for heavy lifting tasks in infrastructure, construction and industrial projects.

Strengthening the UK Crane Distribution Network

The new agreement follows a recent visit by Crowland representatives to SANY’s manufacturing facility in Changsha, China, where the company produces a wide range of cranes and construction equipment.

Crowland Cranes already works with multiple crane manufacturers and has built a reputation for providing sales, service and support across the UK lifting sector.

The company currently distributes Hoeflon spider cranes and compact pick-and-carry cranes, while also selling and servicing equipment from several established manufacturers including:

  • Grove

  • Terex

  • Ormig

  • Franna

Adding SANY mobile cranes to its portfolio further expands Crowland’s equipment offering and strengthens its position within the UK crane market.
