30 Second Takeaway

Spanish rental company Grúas y Servicios Casado has taken delivery of the first Jekko SPX 532.2 CDH spider crane in Spain and the first lithium-ion battery powered spider crane to enter a Spanish rental fleet. Supplied by Transgrúas, the compact 3.2-tonne spider crane combines electric operation, ultra-compact dimensions, and strong lifting performance for indoor, urban, and restricted-access lifting applications.

First Jekko SPX 532.2 CDH Delivered in Spain

Spanish crane rental company Grúas y Servicios Casado has become the first company in Spain to add the Jekko SPX 532.2 CDH spider crane to its fleet.

According to Jekko distributor Transgrúas, the crane is also the first lithium-ion battery powered spider crane to be introduced into a Spanish rental operation, representing a milestone for low-emission compact lifting in the country.

Upgraded Spider Crane with Electric Drive

Launched at Vertikal Days in September, the SPX 532.2 CDH is an upgraded version of the SPX 532, offering improved performance and electric operation.

Key Lifting Configuration:

  • Five-section main boom: 10.3 metres

  • Four-section telescopic jib: 5.1 metres

  • Jib offset: up to 80° below or 16° above horizontal

  • Maximum tip height: 17.3 metres

Using the main boom only, the crane can lift:

  • 1.45 tonnes to 11.8 metres

  • 500 kg at 9.4 metres radius

  • 100 kg at its maximum 14.8 metres radius

The crane also offers a pick-and-carry capacity of 400 kg.

Compact Dimensions for Restricted Access

Designed for work in tight spaces, the SPX 532.2 CDH features ultra-compact transport dimensions:

  • Overall width: 760 mm

  • Height: 1.99 metres

  • Length: 3.14 metres

  • Total weight: 2.75 tonnes

These characteristics make it ideal for indoor lifting, heritage work, glazing operations, and urban construction environments.

Expanding a Diverse Lifting Fleet

Grúas y Servicios Casado, founded in 1995, is headquartered in Málaga, with an additional branch in Jaén, serving Granada and Córdoba.

The SPX 532.2 CDH becomes the company’s fourth Jekko machine, joining:

  • Jekko SPX 424

  • Jekko SPX 650

  • Jekko MPK 50 mini pick & carry crane

The wider fleet also includes:

  • Klaas trailer cranes

  • Loader cranes
