Vote Now: Who Will Make It to the Game of Cranes Preliminary Round?

30-Second Takeaway

Voting is now live for Liebherr’s international Game of Cranes competition. Seventy-five mobile crane operators from around the world are competing for a place in the regional preliminary rounds. Public voting runs daily until 27 July 2025 and plays a key role in deciding who advances.

Public voting is officially underway for the Game of Cranes, Liebherr’s international mobile crane competition designed to spotlight operator skill, safety awareness, and technical expertise.

Since 18 June, crane operators from across the globe have been competing for votes that will help determine who advances to the next stage of the competition the regional preliminary rounds.

75 Operators, One Global Competition

A total of 75 mobile crane operators are currently in contention, each representing a Liebherr customer company and showcasing their skills through submitted videos and images demonstrating crane operation in real-world conditions.

With the voting phase now live, participants are actively sharing their entries with colleagues, friends, and the wider industry and the outcome is now partly in the hands of the global lifting community.

Vote Daily Until 27 July

Voting remains open until 27 July 2025, and supporters can vote once per day for each video, meaning multiple votes can be cast over the course of the campaign.

Every vote helps shape the competition and supports operators on their path toward the next round.

What Happens After Voting Closes?

Once voting concludes, progression to the preliminary rounds will be decided through a combined evaluation process, factoring in:

  • Public voting results

  • Assessment by a Liebherr expert jury

The jury places particular emphasis on:

  • Safe working practices

  • Precision crane operation

  • Technical understanding

  • Confident handling of the machine

  • Overall professionalism of submitted video and image material

Regional Preliminary Rounds September 2025

The five highest-ranked operators from each region will advance to regional preliminary rounds in September 2025, covering:

  • North America

  • South America

  • Australia

  • Europe

  • Africa / Middle East / Asia

These rounds will further test operators across safety, dexterity, and technical competence.

The Road to Ehingen

Winners from each regional preliminary round will progress to the international final, held in November 2025 at Liebherr’s headquarters in Ehingen, Germany.

There, the finalists will compete head-to-head for the ultimate title in the Game of Cranes, determining who earns recognition as the world’s top mobile crane operator.

Crane Hub Perspective

Crane Hub Global will continue to monitor the Game of Cranes as voting progresses and the competition moves toward the preliminary rounds. The initiative highlights the growing industry focus on operator professionalism, safety culture, and technical excellence qualities that increasingly define performance standards in the global mobile crane sector.
