30-Second Takeaway

Bernard Hunter has added a new Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 all terrain crane to its fleet as part of its ongoing investment programme. The 300-tonne crane offers strong lifting performance, long boom reach, and flexible configurations for a wide range of heavy lifting projects across Scotland and the wider UK market.

Bernard Hunter Takes Delivery of Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2

Scottish crane rental company Bernard Hunter has taken delivery of a new 300-tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 all terrain crane.

The latest addition continues the company’s long-term investment in modern lifting equipment designed to support increasingly demanding customer requirements across multiple sectors.

The crane was officially ordered during Bauma last year alongside a 150-tonne Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3, which was delivered to the company last month.

The new LTM 1300-6.2 has now arrived in Scotland and joins Bernard Hunter’s growing fleet of heavy lifting equipment.

Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 Delivers Strong Reach and Lifting Flexibility

The Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 is designed to combine high lifting performance with strong mobility and operational efficiency.

Seven-Section Boom Provides Extended Reach

The six-axle crane features:

  • A 12.5 to 21-metre bi-fold swingaway extension

  • Hydraulic offset capability up to 40 degrees

  • Extension capability up to 35 metres

The crane can also be equipped with a:

  • 70-metre luffing jib

This configuration provides substantial flexibility for complex lifting operations across infrastructure, industrial, and construction projects.

Single-Engine Design Improves Efficiency

The LTM 1300-6.2 utilises Liebherr’s single-engine crane concept, helping improve:

  • Fuel efficiency

  • Maintenance simplicity

  • Operational economy

  • Transport efficiency

The crane’s design allows it to support demanding heavy lifting projects while maintaining strong road mobility between job sites.

Managing Director Mark Rafferty said the latest crane investment reflects the company’s commitment to customer service and operational capability.

“Ensuring we have a modern fleet of cranes, ready to meet the demands of our customers, is of vital importance to us,” said Rafferty.
“This latest arrival is a testament to that policy.”

The company continues investing across multiple crane categories to support a broad range of lifting applications.
