Bizim Vinç Grove GMK6450-1 All Terrain Crane Sets New Benchmark in Turkey

Turkish rental company Bizim Vinç has taken delivery of the first Grove GMK6450-1 All Terrain crane in Turkey, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the country’s heavy lifting sector. The 450 tonne six-axle crane becomes the company’s new flagship, expanding its ability to handle high-capacity and technically demanding lifting operations.

High Performance and Advanced Lifting Technology

The Grove GMK6450-1 All Terrain crane is equipped with a five-section 60 metre main boom, which can be combined with up to 79 metres of luffing jib, delivering a maximum tip height of 136 metres.

Key features include:

  • Maxbase variable outrigger system for flexible setup

  • Mega Wing Lift self-rigging Superlift system

    • Up to 70% increase in capacity on the main boom

    • Up to 400% increase on the luffing jib

These technologies allow the crane to operate efficiently even on confined and complex job sites.

Immediate Deployment on Major Projects

The new crane has already been deployed on its first project, supporting contractor Rönesans with the construction of a viaduct for a new highway near Istanbul’s Sazlı Bosna district, where it was used to lift formwork elements.

Additional projects are already scheduled, including:

  • Hangar assembly support at İGA Istanbul Airport

  • Modernisation work at a Limak Holding cement plant

This early utilization highlights the crane’s role in large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.

Boosting Efficiency and Market Presence

Company owner Mahmut Efek said:

“This investment has significantly increased our performance. Thanks to the compact design and the advanced technology of the crane, we can now also carry out demanding lifting work in the tightest of spaces much more efficiently.”

He added:

“In addition to the operational benefits, this machine has also strengthened our reputation in the market and increased our visibility with customers.”
