Completing a Six-Unit Liebherr Order
UK crane rental company Bronzeshield has completed delivery of a six-crane order with Liebherr, taking handover of the final unit as part of a deal that began in 2024.
The package comprises three 90-tonne LTM 1090-4.2 all terrain cranes, a 150-tonne LTM 1150-5.3, and two 60-tonne LTM 1060-3.1s, further strengthening Bronzeshield’s modern all terrain fleet.
The most recent handovers, including an LTM 1060-3.1 and the LTM 1150-5.3, took place at Liebherr GB’s facility in Biggleswade.
Compact Performance: LTM 1060-3.1
Three-Axle Versatility
The latest delivery, the three-axle LTM 1060-3.1, is equipped with a six-section, 48-metre main boom, topped by a 9.5 to 16-metre bi-fold swingaway extension.
This configuration provides a maximum tip height of more than 67 metres and offers up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry its full 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations, allowing axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.
90-Tonne Capability: LTM 1090-4.2
Long Boom Performance
The four-axle LTM 1090-4.2 units in the order feature a 60-metre main boom, complemented by a 9.5 to 16-metre bi-fold swingaway extension.
This configuration delivers a maximum tip height of just under 80 metres, making the crane well suited to a wide range of general lifting and construction applications.
Flagship Unit: LTM 1150-5.3
Reaching New Heights
The largest crane in the package, the five-axle LTM 1150-5.3, is fitted with a 66-metre, seven-section main boom.
It is paired with a 10.8 to 19-metre bi-fold swingaway extension, which can be hydraulically offset by up to 40 degrees. With the addition of a seven-metre insert, the crane achieves a maximum tip height of almost 95 metres.
