Dozier Crane & Machinery Deploys First Terex TRT 55US in the United States

30-Second Takeaway

Dozier Crane & Machinery, a long-time Terex dealer and part of the Raimondi Group network, has become the first company globally to deploy the new Terex TRT 55US rough terrain crane. The 50-ton crane is now operating in Savannah, Georgia, supporting a major energy infrastructure project for Georgia Power. The deployment highlights growing demand for compact, high-performance rough terrain cranes in North America.

First TRT 55US Delivered Following CONEXPO 2026 Launch

Dozier Crane & Machinery has officially deployed the first-ever Terex TRT 55US rough terrain crane in the United States, becoming the inaugural customer globally to place the new model into active service. The crane was delivered shortly after its unveiling at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 and is already operating on a major infrastructure project in Savannah, Georgia.

The deployment reinforces Dozier’s long-standing partnership with Terex’s rough terrain division, a relationship spanning more than two decades. The company currently operates a large fleet of Terex RT cranes, including the TRT 100US and TRT 40US models.

Matt Greenspan, Vice President of Dozier Crane & Machinery, commented:

“As a long-standing partner of the North American rough terrain division, we are proud to be the first company globally to take delivery of the TRT 55US.”

The newly launched Terex TRT 55US rough terrain crane is currently rented to R.R. Cassidy for Georgia Power, where it is supporting relay and substation expansion works as part of a major energy infrastructure development project.

Configured in its standard setup, the crane offers:

  • 50-ton (55 USt) maximum lifting capacity

  • 37.4m (122.7 ft) boom length

  • Three telescoping boom modes for enhanced flexibility

  • Compact overall width of 2.47m (8.11 ft) for confined jobsites

Greenspan explained that the crane was selected specifically for its:

  • Strong load chart performance

  • Compact footprint

  • Operational versatility for infrastructure work

Advanced Technology Supporting Fleet Performance

The TRT 55US also introduces advanced digital monitoring systems designed to improve operational efficiency and fleet management capabilities.

The crane incorporates:

  • TEOS operating system

  • T-Link telematics platform

  • Real-time machine monitoring

  • Remote diagnostics and fleet tracking functionality

These systems are increasingly important for crane rental fleets and infrastructure contractors seeking improved uptime, preventive maintenance planning, and operational visibility.

Raimondi Highlights North American Market Demand

The delivery comes as Raimondi Cranes continues to expand its presence in the North American rough terrain market following its acquisition of select Terex lifting brands.

Andreas Ernst, President of Raimondi North America, stated:

“The sale of the TRT 55US to Dozier underscores our customer-centric approach and commitment to the evolving needs of the North American market, where compact design, strong load performance, and reliability in demanding jobsite environments are essential.”

To support the rollout, Dozier’s operations and technical personnel completed specialized training at the Raimondi North America service hub. The sessions focused on machine functionality, advanced control systems, and maintenance best practices.
