Integrated Solutions from Hareket. A Seamless Operation from Transportation to Installation

Updated: Dec 27, 2025

30-Second Takeaway

Hareket delivered a fully integrated transportation and installation solution for the Şule Wind Energy Project in Turkey, overcoming extreme altitude, sub-zero temperatures, and complex terrain. By coordinating heavy transport logistics with high-capacity lifting operations, the team safely moved and installed some of the largest wind turbine components in the country completing each turbine installation in as little as 2.5 days with a zero-error approach.

As part of the Şule Wind Energy Project in Turkey, Hareket successfully carried out the

transportation and installation of wind turbines. This project, executed at an altitude

of 2,400 meters, in -25°C cold, and under challenging terrain conditions, was

completed with a seamless operation from transportation to installation.

During this major operation, we safely transported 11 sets of blades, each measuring

81 meters in length and weighing 84 tons, from Gemlik Port to the wind power plant

in Isparta’s Şarkikaraağaç district along a 454-kilometer route. To ensure a smooth

transit, we carefully planned and executed special bypass operations at bridges,

intersections, and narrow passages along the way.

Integrated Solutions from Hareket

A Seamless Operation from Transportation to InstallationDue to the blade length and generator tonnage, we successfully executed the heavy

lifting and installation of one of the largest wind turbine models installed in Turkey.

Thanks to the full coordination of our transportation, crane, and installation teams,

each turbine installation was completed in as little as 2.5 days.

To ensure a safe and efficient operation, we deployed a fleet of high-capacity cranes,

each carefully selected to meet the project’s unique challenges. A 650-ton crawler

crane provided the main lifting capacity, while a 250-ton telescopic boom crawler

crane enhanced flexibility and reach. Additionally, a 250-ton mobile crane, a 200-ton

mobile crane, and a 130-ton mobile crane were utilized for precise positioning and

support throughout the installation process.

The top priority in this project was to execute every step with a zero-error approach,

complete synchronization, and strong teamwork. Despite extreme weather

conditions, our teams & dedicated efforts ensured the installation process was

completed smoothly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What was the Şule Wind Energy Project?

The Şule Wind Energy Project involved the transportation and installation of large wind turbine components at a high-altitude site in Turkey’s Isparta Şarkikaraağaç district.

What made this project particularly challenging?

The project was executed at an altitude of 2,400 meters, in temperatures as low as -25°C, across difficult terrain and along a 454-kilometer transport route.

How large were the wind turbine components transported?

Hareket transported 11 sets of blades, each measuring 81 meters in length and weighing 84 tons, along with heavy generators and other turbine components.

How long did each turbine installation take?

Thanks to integrated planning and coordination, each turbine installation was completed in as little as 2.5 days.

What equipment was used for the installation?

The operation utilized a 650-ton crawler crane as the primary lifting unit, supported by a 250-ton telescopic boom crawler crane, 250-ton mobile crane, 200-ton mobile crane, and 130-ton mobile crane.

Why is an integrated solution important for wind energy projects?

Combining transportation, lifting, and installation under a single coordinated approach reduces risk, improves efficiency, and ensures safer execution especially in extreme and remote environments.

How did Hareket ensure safety and precision?

Through detailed route planning, specialized bypass operations, a zero-error execution strategy, and close coordination between transportation, crane, and installation teams.
