John Sutch Cranes Expands Fleet with New Sany All Terrain Crane and Scania Trucks

30-Second Takeaway

John Sutch Cranes has continued its fleet expansion programme with the addition of a 70-tonne Sany SA700E all terrain crane and two Scania S660 trucks. The new equipment strengthens both lifting and heavy haulage capabilities across the company’s operations in Liverpool and Manchester.

John Sutch Cranes Adds New Sany SA700E All Terrain Crane

UK rental company John Sutch Cranes has taken delivery of a new 70-tonne Sany SA700E all terrain crane. The crane was supplied through UK dealer Crowland Cranes and becomes the latest addition to the company’s growing Sany fleet.

The new crane will be based at the company’s Manchester depot where it will support lifting operations across construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects throughout the region.

Sany SA700E Strengthens Mobile Crane Fleet

The Sany SA700E is a four-axle all terrain crane designed to provide strong lifting performance combined with compact transportability.

Crane Features 50-Metre Main Boom

The crane includes:

  • 50-metre pinned main boom

  • 16-metre bi-fold swingaway extension

  • Maximum tip height of approximately 69 metres

The extension also offers:

  • Up to 40 degrees of offset

allowing increased flexibility for lifting operations in restricted or complex environments.

Third Sany Crane Added to Fleet

The SA700E joins two existing 60-tonne Sany all terrain cranes already operating within the John Sutch Cranes fleet.

Managing Director Designate Hayley Sutch welcomed the latest addition.

“This new SA700e is a very welcome addition to our fleet, and increases our Sany fleet to three units,” said Sutch.

Company Expands Heavy Haulage Capability with Scania Trucks

Alongside the crane investment, John Sutch Cranes has also added two new Scania S660 trucks to its transport division.

Scania S660 Trucks Support Heavy Transport Operations

The new trucks feature:

  • 6x4 drivetrains

  • Capability to move loads up to 100 tonnes

The vehicles will be used for:

  • Crane transportation

  • Abnormal load movements

  • Heavy haulage operations

The additions form part of the company’s wider fleet modernisation and renewal strategy.

Trucks Designed for Specialist Heavy Haulage Work

Craig Hargreaves of Haydock Commercial Vehicles said the S660 platform is well suited to demanding transport applications.

“The S660 V8 is designed for exactly this type of demanding heavy haulage operation - delivering the power, reliability and driver comfort needed for specialist transport work,” said Hargreaves.
“This order reflects a clear commitment to quality and long term fleet performance.”
