MaxiKraft Orders 22 Grove GMK All Terrain Cranes in Major Fleet Expansion

30 Second Takeaway

German crane rental and heavy-lift specialist MaxiKraft has placed a major order for 22 Grove GMK All Terrain cranes, ranging from 60 to 250 tonnes. Supplied by Manitowoc and its local distributor KranAgentur Werner, the investment strengthens MaxiKraft’s multi-axle crane fleet, with deliveries beginning now and continuing throughout the year.

Large-Scale Grove Order Strengthens MaxiKraft Fleet

MaxiKraft, the German crane rental, heavy lift, and heavy transport group, has ordered 22 new Grove GMK All Terrain cranes, marking one of its most significant fleet investments to date.

The order covers three-, four-, and five-axle All Terrain cranes, reinforcing MaxiKraft’s capacity across a broad range of lifting applications.

Crane Models Span 60 to 250 Tonnes

The new Grove order includes models ranging from the 60-tonne GMK3060-2 through to the five-axle 250-tonne GMK5250L-1.

While the full mix includes three-, four-, and five-axle machines, the majority of the order consists of four- and five-axle models, underlining MaxiKraft’s continued focus on higher-capacity, versatile All Terrain cranes.

Manitowoc and KranAgentur Werner Partnership

The order was placed directly with Manitowoc, Grove’s parent company, in partnership with long-standing local distributor KranAgentur Werner, which will also provide ongoing sales and technical support.

Deliveries have already begun, with additional units scheduled for handover throughout the remainder of the year.

Andreas Werner, of KranAgentur Werner, commented:

“We would like to thank Maik Kanitzky and his team for the renewed trust they have placed in us and the latest cranes from Grove.”

Three Decades of Growth for MaxiKraft

MaxiKraft was founded in February 1992 by Maik Kanitzky in Züllsdorf/Herzberg, Brandenburg.

The company experienced rapid early expansion, opening five branches within its first seven years. Further growth followed with the creation of additional specialist companies:

  • MaxiMum (2000)

  • Kranlogistik Sachsen (2002)

  • Kranlogistik Lausitz (2004)

  • Treffler (2019)

Today, the MaxiKraft Group operates from 26 locations and employs around 500 people, providing crane rental, heavy lift, and transport services across Germany.

Strategic Investment in Multi-Axle All Terrain Cranes

The addition of 22 Grove GMK All Terrain cranes further strengthens MaxiKraft’s ability to support complex lifting, infrastructure, industrial, and heavy transport projects.

With capacities extending up to 250 tonnes, the new cranes enhance flexibility across both regional and national operations, while reinforcing the group’s long-standing relationship with Grove and Manitowoc.
