The key to that growth? A clear focus on innovative technology, highly trained people, and reliable long-term partners.

Over the past three decades, MAXIKraft has invested continuously in its fleet, purchasing more than 1,000 Liebherr mobile and crawler cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 30 to 1,000 tonnes.

What began 33 years ago as a one-man business is now a group of companies with 500 employees at 26 locations. During this time, the MAXIKraft Group has purchased 1,000 cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 30 to 1,000 tonnes from Liebherr. For more than three decades, MAXIKraft has continuously invested in new mobile and crawler cranes to keep the group's fleet at the cutting edge of technology.

Ehingen (Danube), (Germany), 17 November 2025Maik Kanitzky founded the company in February 1992 in Züllsdorf, Brandenburg. With vision, a keen sense for technical developments and a clear commitment to quality, he systematically expanded MAXIKraft. Today, the group has 500 employees at 26 locations and comprises five companies, most recently supplemented by the acquisition of KRANprofis Allgäu GmbH.

The fleet currently consists of around 200 mobile cranes and a large number of lattice boom cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 1,000 tonnes. Kanitzky has always pursued the goal of providing customers and employees with the most modern technology available: "We usually replace our mobile cranes every three years. Highly qualified employees, reliable partners and innovative machines – these are the key factors for our success. Liebherr has been providing us with the right technology and the necessary support for over three decades."

Technology with real added value

Liebherr stands for continuous development – not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of economy and safety. Numerous technical innovations can be found in the MAXIKraft fleet, including VarioBase®) (variable support base), VarioBallast®) (adjustable ballast radius), VarioTray® (divisible ballast tray) and the hydraulically adjustable V-Frame. These systems increase flexibility and efficiency in daily use and offer concrete advantages for customers.

Partnership as a model for success

Long-term partnerships are a fundamental part of Kanitzky's corporate strategy – with customers, banks, suppliers and, above all, with its own employees. “We invest in training and focus on technology that inspires. Many of our employees have been with the company for many years – including those who joined us as part of acquisitions,” emphasizes the managing director.
