Gloucester-based Rocket Rentals has strengthened its compact equipment offering with the addition of JCB 514-40 and 525-60 telehandlers. The machines form part of a larger 55-unit investment with JCB, reinforcing the rental company’s focus on manoeuvrable, high-visibility equipment supported by a strong UK dealer network.

Rocket Rentals Adds JCB Compact Telehandlers to Rental Fleet
UK rental company Rocket Rentals has expanded its fleet with the addition of several JCB compact telehandlers, including four 514-40 sub-compact models and multiple 525-60 Hi Viz telehandlers, as part of a wider order for 55 JCB machines. The investment also includes new mini excavators, further broadening the company’s equipment offering.
Compact Performance: JCB 525-60 Hi Viz
The JCB 525-60 Hi Viz telehandler offers a maximum lift capacity of 2,500kg, with the ability to place 2,000kg at full height and handle 800kg at its maximum forward reach of 3.5 metres.
Despite its performance capabilities, the machine maintains a compact footprint, measuring just 1.84 metres wide and 1.89 metres high. A two-stage hydrostatic transmission provides travel speeds of up to 25kph, while a short wheelbase and four-wheel drive configuration enhances manoeuvrability on confined job sites. The 525-60 has an overall operating weight of 5,490kg.
Sub-Compact Capability: JCB 514-40
Designed for tight access and urban applications, the JCB 514-40 sub-compact telehandler delivers a maximum lift capacity of 1,400kg and a lift height of four metres. It can place 1,300kg at full height and manage 525kg at a forward reach of 2.5 metres, while a 1,000kg load can be extended to 1.5 metres forward reach.
The 514-40 measures 1.56 metres wide, 1.8 metres high, and has an overall length of just under three metres to the front of the carriage. Operating weight is 2,915kg, reducing to just under 2,700kg with the carriage and forks removed.
