Rókin Grove GMK6300L-1 All Terrain Crane Expands Lifting Capability in Faroe Islands
Faroe Islands-based contractor Rókin has taken delivery of a Grove GMK6300L-1 All Terrain crane, marking a major milestone as the company’s first mobile crane and the largest All Terrain crane in the Islands. The 300 tonne six-axle crane, supplied by Grove’s Danish distributor UN Mobilkrane, significantly enhances the company’s ability to undertake complex lifting operations across the region.
High Performance Crane for Infrastructure Projects
The Grove GMK6300L-1 is equipped with a seven-section 80 metre main boom, capable of lifting 14 tonnes at a 14 metre radius on full boom. The crane can also be configured with up to 37 metres of luffing extensions, delivering a maximum tip height of 120 metres, making it suitable for a wide range of heavy lifting applications.
The new unit will be deployed on projects including:
Harbour development
Infrastructure construction
General heavy lifting operations
Supporting Regional Growth
Holger Haber, Manitowoc’s sales manager for the Nordic region, said:
“We are proud to support Rókin with this high performance crane and are confident that the GMK6300L-1 will be a valuable asset for their future projects.”
The addition of this crane represents a significant boost to local lifting capacity in the Faroe Islands, where access to high-capacity mobile cranes is limited.
