Böcker Launches AHK 36e X 2.5 Tonne Electric Trailer Crane

German crane and hoist manufacturer Böcker has unveiled the new AHK 36e X, a 2.5 tonne fully electric trailer crane featuring a 36 metre tip height, hydraulic luffing jib, enhanced chassis design and NeXt generation battery technology.

30-Second Takeaway Böcker has expanded its NeXt generation lineup with the AHK 36e X , a 2.5 tonne electric trailer crane  offering a 36 metre tip height, 500kg jib capacity, 1.5 tonne electric winch and 140 lifting cycles per charge. The new model features enhanced auto levelling outriggers, optional additional counterweights for extended radius performance, and a sustainable battery-powered drive system designed for demanding construction environments. Böcker AHK 36e X Electric Trailer Crane German manufacturer Böcker  has launched the new AHK 36e X , a 2.5 tonne battery-powered trailer crane  designed to combine performance, efficiency and sustainability. The crane features a three-section main boom topped by a standard three-section, 11 metre hydraulically extendable luffing jib , delivering a maximum tip height of 36 metres  with the optional two metre manual extension. The jib provides a lifting capacity of 500kg  and can be telescoped under load. The crane is equipped with a fully electric drive winch offering a 1.5 tonne line pull , supporting a wide range of construction and installation applications. An optional work platform attachment allows for a maximum working height of 32 metres , expanding the crane’s versatility across façade work, glazing and maintenance projects. Battery Performance and Sustainable Operation The onboard battery system  enables up to 140 lifting cycles  per charge and can be recharged using a standard 230 volt outlet , supporting easy jobsite integration without the need for specialised charging infrastructure. As part of Böcker’s NeXt generation range, the AHK 36e X electric crane  is positioned as a solution for projects requiring reduced emissions, lower noise levels and improved operational efficiency. Enhanced Counterweight and Reach Performance An optional additional counterweight system increases performance at extended radii. With the extra counterweight installed, operators gain an additional two metres of working radius with a 250kg load . The counterweight plates attach directly to the crane’s frame after setup and are designed for installation by a single person, improving jobsite flexibility and efficiency. Revised Chassis and Auto Levelling Outriggers The new chassis design incorporates an improved auto levelling and sensing outrigger system , increasing the working slope angle at the rear by 25 percent . The redesigned setup also provides greater ground clearance during transport. The outrigger system includes automatic levelling and monitoring functions, enhancing stability, safety and ease of setup on uneven terrain. Böcker stated: “As a Böcker trailer crane of the NeXt generation, the battery powered crane combines uncompromising performance with sustainable drive technology and sets standards for demanding construction sites. With its hydraulically extendible jib, the electric 1.5 tonne winch, a revised chassis and optional additional ballasting, the new crane always utilises its performance potential - without compromising on range, payload or working speed.” The launch reinforces the growing market demand for electric lifting equipment  and sustainable crane solutions across European and global construction sectors.
