Böcker UK Appoints Callum Dunbar as Sales Manager

30 Second Takeaway

Böcker UK has appointed Callum Dunbar as UK Sales Manager, strengthening its leadership team as the company looks to expand awareness and adoption of lightweight, long-reach aluminium truck cranes. Dunbar brings more than a decade of experience across the lifting, crane, and equipment distribution sectors, returning to the industry after senior roles in sales and after-sales management.

Strengthening Böcker UK’s Sales Leadership

Böcker UK has confirmed the appointment of Callum Dunbar as its new Sales Manager. Dunbar joined the company a few weeks ago and is now fully embedded in his new role, focused on growing UK sales, expanding market awareness, and supporting Böcker’s established customer base.

His remit includes promoting lightweight aluminium truck cranes, highlighting their long reach, efficiency, and operational advantages, while ensuring continued support for customers already operating Böcker lifting solutions.

Extensive Experience Across the Lifting Industry

Dunbar brings a strong background in engineering, crane sales, and after-sales support.

He began his career in 2012 as a fabrication engineer with equipment distributor TH White. Five years later, he transitioned into the loader crane sector, moving into a sales support role within the Palfinger distribution division.

This move coincided with TH White’s acquisition of Outreach Truck, Palfinger’s dealer for Scotland, after which the business was rebranded as Palfinger UK. Two years later, Dunbar was promoted to Area Sales Manager, a role he held for five years.

Broad Commercial Perspective

Seeking broader commercial experience, Dunbar later joined Rema Tip Top Industry UK, a conveyor belt maintenance and supply specialist, before moving to Shaftec Automotive, where he served as After-Sales Manager for around a year.

His appointment at Böcker marks a return to the lifting industry, bringing together technical understanding, sales leadership, and customer-focused after-sales experience.

Company and Industry Support

Jake McCaugherty, Managing Director of Böcker UK, said:

“Callum’s appointment marks an exciting chapter for Böcker UK. His extensive experience and proven track record in the crane sector will help us strengthen our position in the UK and broaden our customer base with our range of innovative lifting technology products.”

Commenting on his new role, Callum Dunbar added:

“I’m thrilled to join Böcker UK and contribute to the company’s ambitious growth plans. Böcker’s reputation for quality and innovation is second to none, and I look forward to working closely with our customers to deliver products that exceed expectations.”

Driving Growth in Lightweight Truck Crane Solutions

With growing demand for compact, efficient, and high-reach lifting solutions, Böcker UK sees Dunbar’s appointment as a key step in accelerating adoption of aluminium truck cranes across construction, roofing, and specialist lifting sectors throughout the UK.
