Jekko Establishes Jekko Cranes UK with Foster Cranes

30 Second Takeaway

Italian spider and pick & carry crane manufacturer Jekko has strengthened its presence in Great Britain with the formation of Jekko Cranes UK, a new company established in partnership with Foster Cranes. Based in Kidderminster, with a second depot planned in Kent, the new operation will focus exclusively on sales, service, parts, and support for the full Jekko crane range across the UK.

Dedicated UK Platform for Jekko Cranes

Jekko has officially launched Jekko Cranes UK, a new business created to distribute and support its spider and pick & carry cranes throughout Great Britain. The move follows the successful appointment of Foster Cranes as Jekko’s UK partner early last year and reflects growing demand for Jekko’s compact and battery-powered lifting solutions.

The new company is wholly owned by the Foster family and operates independently from Foster Cranes’ other activities, which include the sale of used cranes, tracked carriers, and vacuum lifting equipment.

Facilities and National Coverage

Based in Kidderminster, west of Birmingham, Jekko Cranes UK operates from a dedicated facility that includes:

  • A fully equipped workshop

  • A warehouse stocked with spare parts

  • A fleet of shipment-ready Jekko cranes

To strengthen coverage in the south of England, the company is also planning a second depot in Kent, which will feature offices, workshop facilities, and a finished goods warehouse. This dual-location strategy is designed to improve response times, service availability, and logistics efficiency for customers nationwide.

A Partnership Built on Alignment

Jekko sales director Alberto Franceschini described the partnership as a natural progression:

“Strong relationships are the foundation of success in both life and business. From the start, the connection with Andrew Foster was exceptional, marked by immediate understanding and synergy. This created the basis to consolidate the relationship, and the result has a name – ‘Jekko UK’. I am personally very proud of this further step forward for Jekko in the UK.”

Andrew Foster, managing director of Foster Cranes, added:

“The Jekko cranes have been such a success in the UK that we are expanding our business. We have created a new division, opened a southern hub, and expanded our team to fully support the brand. Jekko’s innovation centre is constantly expanding the product range, and they are by far the strongest in the industry.”

Supporting Growth in Compact and Electric Lifting

The establishment of Jekko Cranes UK reflects the manufacturer’s confidence in the UK market, particularly for compact, spider, and battery-powered cranes suited to restricted access, indoor work, and urban construction projects.
