I&H Kran-Transport-Montageservice GmbH, a family-owned crane hire company based in Germany’s Leipziger Land region, has taken delivery of five new Liebherr mobile cranes as part of a major fleet modernisation programme. I&H Expands and Modernises Liebherr Crane Fleet

I&H Kran-Transport-Montageservice GmbH, a family business headquartered in the Leipziger Land region, has taken delivery of five new Liebherr mobile cranes, significantly upgrading its fleet.

Founded in 2002, the company has established a strong reputation in the crane hire sector and is now implementing a comprehensive fleet modernisation programme focused on efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance.

Five New Liebherr Cranes Delivered in Two Phases

Two months ago, I&H took delivery of its first two new cranes:

  • Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1

  • Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2

In mid-December, Managing Director Michael Ide and Operations Manager Nils Laumann travelled to Liebherr’s Ehingen plant to collect three additional machines:

  • Liebherr LTM 1050-3.1

  • Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1

  • Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1

Together, the five cranes will replace older units and enhance the company’s operational capabilities across a wide range of lifting applications.

Reliability and Service Drive Manufacturer Choice

The decision to invest exclusively in Liebherr mobile cranes reflects I&H’s emphasis on reliability, modern crane technology, and strong after-sales support.

Operations Manager Nils Laumann explains:

“Above all, we expect a high level of reliability from the new cranes. Liebherr is known for this in the industry, as well as for its fast supply of spare parts and outstanding service. The local Liebherr branch in Alt-Bork, not far from Berlin, supports us very well in this regard.”

Cranes Assigned to Key Applications

Each of the new Liebherr cranes has been selected for specific roles within I&H’s operations:

  • The LTM 1250-5.1 will be used primarily for precast concrete assembly work, benefiting from its powerful telescopic boom

  • The LTM 1050-3.1 and LTM 1060-3.1 are intended for taxi crane operations, as well as repairs and maintenance in opencast mining

  • The LTM 1030-2.1 and LTM 1070-4.2 provide flexible lifting solutions across general construction and industrial projects

Ongoing Investment in a Modern Fleet

The delivery of five new cranes marks a major step in I&H’s fleet renewal, but the programme is not yet complete. The company has confirmed that additional Liebherr mobile cranes will follow in the future.

With around 20 employees, I&H Kran-Transport-Montageservice GmbH currently operates a fleet of 12 mobile cranes, positioning the company to meet the increasingly complex demands of the construction industry.
