Maeda Spider Cranes USA

Japanese mini crawler and spider crane manufacturer Maeda has appointed Uriquip as its dealer across the Southwestern region of the United States.

The agreement, signed at Conexpo earlier this month, includes sales, service and parts support across Arizona, California, New Mexico and Utah, expanding Maeda’s presence in key U.S. markets.

Expanding North American Dealer Network

Maeda’s U.S. subsidiary, Maeda America, is based in Texas and was established in 2022 as part of a strategy to strengthen its position in North America.

Since then, the company has been actively developing its dealer network. The addition of Uriquip brings the network to 16 dealers operating from 40 locations across the United States and Canada.

Maeda America chief executive Tommy Akamatsu said:“Uriquip brings strong market knowledge, technical expertise and a customer-first approach that aligns perfectly with Maeda’s values. This partnership enhances our ability to deliver our industry-leading products and services to customers across these key states.”

Strengthening Regional Support in the Southwest

Uriquip general manager Uri Toudjarov highlighted the importance of the partnership for the company’s continued growth.

“Becoming an authorised Maeda dealer is an exciting step for Uriquip. We look forward to representing Maeda’s world-class products and delivering outstanding support to customers throughout the Southwest.”

The appointment strengthens access to compact lifting solutions, particularly in sectors where mini crawler and spider cranes are in high demand for confined or complex jobsite conditions.

Uriquip’s Growing Equipment Portfolio

Uriquip, based in Montgomery, Texas, was established in 2023 and operates internationally. The company offers new cranes from leading manufacturers including Zoomlion, Liebherr, Manitex, Tadano and XCMG, along with JLG aerial work platforms and telehandlers.

In addition to new equipment, Uriquip also sells and stocks used cranes and access equipment, supporting a broad customer base across multiple industries.

Founder Uri Toudjarov brings decades of experience in the crane sector, with a career spanning roles at Terex Cranes, Global Crane Sales, and Bigge Cranes & Rigging, where he focused on international sales and distribution.
