NNH Adds Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 to Its Mobile Crane Fleet

30-Second Takeaway

NNH Niedersächsischer Nutzfahrzeug-Handel GmbH, part of the NuFaTec Group, has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 mobile crane to strengthen its fleet and meet growing customer demand in industrial and steel construction. The 120-tonne four-axle crane, featuring a 66-metre telescopic boom and advanced Liebherr technologies such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast®, will support projects including industrial assembly, precast installation and machine relocation.

Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 Mobile Crane Joins NNH Fleet

NNH Niedersächsischer Nutzfahrzeug-Handel GmbH (NNH) has expanded its lifting capabilities with the addition of a Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 mobile crane. The 120-tonne all terrain crane was handed over at Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH, strengthening the company’s fleet as it responds to increasing demand from customers in sectors such as industrial construction and steel fabrication. NNH is part of the NuFaTec Group, which provides services related to commercial vehicles, cranes and special-purpose equipment.

Meeting Increased Customer Requirements

According to Daniel Wenzel, Managing Director of the NuFaTec Group, the investment reflects rising customer expectations across several industrial sectors.

“Our customers' requirements are constantly increasing especially in the field of industrial and steel construction. With the new crane, we are responding specifically to this development and strengthening our performance in a highly sought-after load capacity segment,” he said.

The new crane will allow the company to expand its capabilities in projects involving:

  • Industrial assembly

  • Steel and hall construction

  • Precast concrete installation

  • Machine relocation

Long Boom and Compact Design Drive Purchase Decision

The Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 was selected due to its combination of strong lifting performance and compact transport design.

Key specifications include:

  • Maximum lifting capacity: 120 tonnes

  • 66-metre telescopic boom

  • Four-axle carrier for strong mobility

The crane replaces an older 100-tonne crane previously operating in the NNH fleet, increasing both lifting capacity and operational reach.

Wenzel noted that the crane offers an ideal balance of performance, flexibility and economic efficiency.

“With this investment, we are deliberately focusing on modern, future-proof technology. Safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction are our top priorities.”

Advanced Liebherr Technologies Improve Site Performance

The LTM 1120-4.1 is equipped with several of Liebherr’s advanced mobile crane technologies designed to improve lifting performance on restricted job sites.

These include:

  • VarioBase® variable outrigger system

  • VarioBallast® adjustable counterweight radius

The VarioBase® system allows the crane to operate safely even when outriggers cannot be fully extended, improving performance in confined construction environments.

Meanwhile, VarioBallast® enables operators to adjust the counterweight radius, improving lifting capacity while maintaining flexibility on site.

Together, these systems provide improved safety, flexibility and lifting performance during demanding operations.

Long-Term Partnership with Liebherr

The NuFaTec Group has operated Liebherr cranes for many years, maintaining a long-standing relationship with the manufacturer.

Wenzel highlighted that reliability and strong support played an important role in the purchasing decision.

“Liebherr stands for quality, innovative technology and high reliability. In addition to the performance of the machines, we particularly appreciate the cooperative partnership and the strong service.”
