Irish rental company O’Carroll Haulage & Crane Hire has taken delivery of three new Liebherr All Terrain cranes, including Ireland’s first Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4.
The new additions form part of a five-unit order and include the 70 tonne LTM 1070-4.2 and 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2, alongside the flagship 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.4.
LTM 1070-4.2 and LTM 1090-4.2 strengthen fleet versatility
The Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 is equipped with a 50 metre main boom and a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. It includes features such as VarioBase, Ecomode, and the LICCON2 control system, allowing flexible setup and efficient operation.
The crane can carry its swingaway and up to 10.7 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loads, or 3.8 tonnes at 10 tonne axle loads, improving transport flexibility.
The Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 offers a 60 metre main boom and a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, with manual offset capability providing a maximum tip height of just under 80 metres.
It is equipped with VarioBase, remote control functionality, and Ecodrive and Ecomode systems, helping reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and noise levels.
Focus on flagship: Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4
The Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4, introduced in 2025, features an eight-section 90 metre main boom, combined with an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension.
Two optional seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway, allowing the crane to achieve a maximum tip height of 121 metres.
The LTM 1300-6.4 is also equipped with Variobase Plus, providing a wider and more flexible outrigger setup with a rear spread of up to 9.4 metres, as well as AutoBallast, improving efficiency during setup and operation.
Fleet expansion continues with additional Liebherr cranes
The current delivery represents the first three units of a five-crane package. Two additional Liebherr cranes a 150 tonne LTM 1150-5.4 and a 50 tonne LTM 1050-3.1 are scheduled to join the fleet in the coming months.
