Binkowski Takes Delivery of Poland’s First Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 300-Tonne All Terrain Crane

30-Second Takeaway

Polish crane rental company Binkowski has strengthened its fleet with the country’s first 300-tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4, replacing a 220-tonne unit to meet rising customer demand for heavier lifts and greater reach. The investment aligns with the company’s 25th anniversary and long-term growth strategy.

Poland Welcomes Its First Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4

Polish rental company Binkowski has officially taken delivery of a 300-tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 All Terrain crane, becoming the first operator in Poland to add this model to its fleet. The handover comes at a symbolic moment, coinciding with Binkowski’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

The six-axle, single-engine crane replaces the company’s 220-tonne Liebherr LTM 1220-5.1 and now stands as Binkowski’s flagship lifting asset.

Advanced Boom Configuration and Lifting Capability

The LTM 1300-6.4, updated by Liebherr in May, features an eight-section, 90-metre main boom, which can be topped with an 11.5 to 20-metre bi-fold swingaway jib. For additional reach, two seven-metre inserts can be installed between the boom nose and swingaway, providing a maximum tip height of 121 metres.

These capabilities significantly expand lifting performance for complex and high-reach projects, particularly in the prefabricated construction sector.

Variobase Plus and AutoBallast Enhance Flexibility

The crane is equipped with Liebherr’s Variobase Plus outrigger system, allowing a wider and more flexible rear outrigger spread of up to 9.4 metres, improving safety and adaptability on constrained job sites. The crane also features AutoBallast, enabling faster setup times and more efficient transport configurations.

Investment Driven by Customer Demand

Managing Director Przemyslaw Binkowski said the decision to invest in the 300-tonne crane reflects both market demand and the company’s growth ambitions:

“We are proud to be the first company in Poland to take delivery of the LTM 1300-6.4. For us, the investment in the 300-tonne crane is a logical step. It is a direct response to the dynamic demand of our customers.”

He added:

“With the LTM 1300-6.4, we are modernising our fleet and are committed to growth and innovation – just in time for our 25th anniversary.”

Binkowski also highlighted the shift in lifting requirements:

“We were always very satisfied with the LTM 1220-5.1. However, we now need higher lifting capacities. Our customers are presenting us with increasingly difficult challenges. Prefabricated components are becoming heavier and need to be lifted further.”

Supporting Complex Prefabricated Projects

The new crane strengthens Binkowski’s ability to support heavier prefabricated components, increased lifting radii, and more demanding construction schedules, positioning the company to respond to evolving industry needs across Poland.
