30 Second Takeaway

Jan Sarens, Group Director at Sarens, and Morten Kammer, CEO of BMS Heavy Cranes, have been elected to the ESTA Board. Both were elected unopposed at the association’s General Assembly, replacing Stijn Sarens and Jens Engaard, who stepped down after reaching the maximum three terms. Members also unanimously reappointed Iffet Türken, who leads ESTA’s Transport Section and chairs its HSE Commission.

Two new members join ESTA Board

Jan Sarens and Morten Kammer will bring representation from Sarens and BMS Heavy Cranes to the board of the European association for abnormal road transport and mobile cranes.

They replace Stijn Sarens, who served as ESTA Secretary, and Jens Engaard, Vice-President of the Crane Section. Both outgoing members stepped down after serving the maximum three terms allowed under ESTA’s rules.

Iffet Türken reappointed

The General Assembly unanimously approved Iffet Türken’s reappointment to the board. She is President of ESTA’s Transport Section and Chair of the association’s HSE Commission.

ESTA Director Miguel Flórez de la Colina welcomed the new board members, thanked Türken for agreeing to serve another term and recognised the contributions of the outgoing members.

The changes add new representation from two major heavy-lift companies while retaining continuity in the association’s transport and safety leadership.
