Two Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 Cranes Join Expanding Fleet

North-west crane hire company John Sutch Cranes has taken delivery of two 60-tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile cranes, continuing its strategic investment in Liebherr crane technology.

The new cranes will be deployed from the company’s Liverpool and Manchester depots, where they will join an established fleet of Liebherr mobile cranes ranging from 45 to 90 tonnes.

Configured for Machine Installation and Crane Hire Work

In addition to its core crane hire services, John Sutch Cranes specialises in machine installation projects, with the latest additions specified to meet a wide range of lifting requirements.

Both LTM 1060-3.1 cranes have been supplied with bi-fold swingaway fly jibs, increasing operational flexibility for work in confined sites and at extended heights.

Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 Specifications and Performance

The Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 is one of the most popular three-axle mobile cranes in the UK market. It features a six-section 48-metre main boom, complemented by a 9.5 to 16-metre bi-fold swingaway fly jib, delivering a maximum tip height of 67.5 metres.

Under STGO regulations, the crane can travel on UK roads carrying its full 12.8 tonnes of counterweight along with the fly jib, improving mobilisation efficiency.

The cranes are equipped with Liebherr ECOmode and ECOdrive systems, designed to optimise fuel consumption, along with VarioBase outrigger technology, allowing variable outrigger set-ups for increased lifting capacity and site flexibility.

Confidence in Liebherr Drives Ongoing Investment

Director Hayley Sutch highlighted the company’s confidence in Liebherr equipment as a key factor behind the latest fleet expansion.

Good, reliable cranes and an excellent asset within our expanding company. Liebherr is definitely the leading manufacturer.”
