Assistedile Deploys Two Raimondi Flat-Top Tower Cranes for Hotel Scarampo Development in Milan

30 Second Takeaway

Assistedile Srl, Raimondi Cranes’ official agent for Milan, Monza and Brianza, has deployed two Raimondi flat-top tower cranes to support construction of Hotel Scarampo, a 260-room hospitality development in one of Milan’s most prominent business districts. The cranes

a Raimondi T187 and MRT234  will remain on site for up to 18 months, supporting works in a dense urban environment where precision, efficiency and logistics coordination are critical.

Supporting a Landmark Hospitality Project

Assistedile Srl is providing lifting support for the construction of Hotel Scarampo, a new hotel development owned by Fondazione Fiera Milano. The project will deliver 260 hotel rooms, along with retail and leisure spaces, and is located within Milan’s modern commercial hub a high-visibility area surrounded by major corporate developments.

The project further strengthens Assistedile’s established presence across Milan’s skyline, following its involvement in numerous high-profile developments in the city.

Crane Selection and Configuration

Two Raimondi flat-top tower cranes from Assistedile’s rental fleet have been selected for the project:

  • Raimondi MRT234-12t

  • Raimondi T187

Both cranes are installed on embedded elements and are expected to remain operational on site for approximately 18 months.

The MRT234-12t, erected in January 2025, is freestanding at a height of 102 metres, equipped with a 55-metre jib and a 55kW hoist capable of lifting speeds of up to 120 metres per minute.

The T187, delivered and installed in June 2025, also features a 55-metre jib and currently stands at 90.5 metres. As construction progresses, it will reach a final height of 115 metres through a planned climbing system.

Operating in a Dense Urban Environment

The site’s central location presented logistical challenges requiring careful planning and close coordination during crane installation.

“Positioning and erecting the cranes demanded precision due to the tight working area,” said Luciano Friso, General Director of Assistedile.

Both cranes were selected for their efficiency, performance and versatility, allowing them to adapt to the evolving lifting requirements of the project as construction advances.

Long-Term Presence and Fleet Investment

Assistedile is currently involved in more than 80 active construction projects nationwide, reinforcing its role as a key crane rental provider in Italy. The Hotel Scarampo site is located adjacent to BFF Bank’s headquarters, which was completed in 2024 with lifting support from Raimondi cranes.

The MRT234 is scheduled to remain on site until late 2026, while the T187 will be dismantled following completion of the structural phase. Assistedile continues to modernise its 110-crane rental fleet, including new additions from Raimondi’s T Series.
