Doğu Kurtarma Vinç Expands Fleet with Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4

30-Second Takeaway

Doğu Kurtarma Vinç has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 mobile crane, a 300-tonne unit designed to bridge the gap between its 220 and 500-tonne fleet. Featuring a 90 metre telescopic boom, the crane enhances the company’s ability to handle high-rise, industrial, and infrastructure projects while improving flexibility and efficiency in urban environments.

Strategic Fleet Expansion in the 300-Tonne Class

Turkish crane and heavy-lift specialist Doğu Kurtarma Vinç has expanded its fleet with the addition of a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 mobile crane.

The new 300-tonne crane fills a key gap between the company’s existing 220-tonne and 500-tonne units, enabling it to take on a broader range of lifting applications.

This strategic addition strengthens the company’s ability to deliver projects requiring high lifting capacities and significant hook heights.

90-Metre Boom Drives Investment Decision

A major factor behind the purchase was the crane’s 90 metre telescopic boom, which provides strong performance for high-reach applications.

The LTM 1300-6.4 is particularly suited for:

  • Tower crane erection and dismantling

  • Antenna installations

  • Wind turbine maintenance

  • Heavy industrial lifting and inner-city projects

Its ability to operate at steep boom angles and achieve significant lifting heights makes it a versatile solution across multiple sectors.

Advanced Design and Control Technology

The Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 mobile crane is the successor to the LTM 1300-6.3 and incorporates the latest LICCON3 control system, alongside a modernised crane design.

Built on a six-axle carrier, the crane combines:

  • Compact dimensions for urban environments

  • Robust undercarriage construction

  • Efficient rigging and fast setup times

To further enhance operational safety, the crane has been equipped with a camera system at the jib tip, improving visibility during lifts.

Built for Urban and Heavy-Duty Applications

According to company owner Mehmet Önal, the crane’s combination of performance and efficiency makes it particularly well suited for operating in dense urban areas such as Istanbul.

He said:

“The compact design, robust undercarriage construction and efficient rigging logistics of the 6-axle mobile crane help to implement projects more quickly and safely in a growing urban environment such as Istanbul. To further enhance safety, the crane has also been fitted with a camera system at the jib tip.”

The crane will support Doğu Kurtarma Vinç’s work across high-rise construction, heavy industry, shipbuilding, and energy and infrastructure projects.

Longstanding Partnership with Liebherr

The latest addition reinforces Doğu Kurtarma Vinç’s strong relationship with Liebherr.

The company currently operates a fleet of 20 cranes, including seven telescopic mobile cranes, all supplied by Liebherr.

Önal highlighted the manufacturer’s reputation as a key factor in continued investment:

“Our company has relied on the Liebherr brand for years and plans to continue expanding its fleet with further models from Ehingen in the future.”

The decision was driven by high technical quality, durability, and advanced safety systems, which the company considers essential for its operations.

With a workforce of around 30 employees, the company continues to invest in fleet modernisation to meet evolving project demands and maintain high service standards in the crane rental and heavy-lift sector.
