– Since 2020, Rothmund has already purchased four LTM 1230-5.1 models from Liebherr
– High product quality and excellent customer support are just two of the many reasons to
choose Liebherr

Rothmund GmbH und Montage has purchased another 230-tonne mobile crane from Liebherr. This is now already the fourth LTM 1230-5.1 in the Pforzheim-based company's fleet. The 5-axle model’s excellent flexibility, coupled with the 75-metre telescopic boom, were the key factors in the decision to invest in the same model again.
Ehingen (Donau), (Germany), 7 July 2025 - In 2020, Rothmund ordered the first LTM 1230-5.1, at a time when the Coronavirus crisis was crippling many areas of society. Just six months later, the second model followed. The company now has four. “We’ve bought our now fourth LTM 1230-5.1 because this crane simply represents the ideal concept for us. With the variable VarioBase ® support, along with the variable VarioBallast ® ballast radius and different ballast variations, we’re able to use it on a vast range of jobs. Added to this are its high lifting capacities and very long 75-metre telescopic boom”, explains Managing Director Heiko Brückner. “The LTM 1230-5.1 is a real all-rounder and, thanks to its flexibility,
is hugely popular - including for concrete and steel construction, tower crane assemblies and industrial jobs.”
Ten Liebherr cranes in five years
Since 2021, Rothmund has taken delivery of no fewer than ten new Liebherr mobile cranes. “Aside from the quality and high resale prices, the excellent support is what makes us choose Liebherr. Customer service is professional and speedy, just like the spare parts supply. And one thing that’s really important for us: the standardised operation of Liebherr cranes, whether they're large or small. This means we’re able to deploy our operators flexibly across all our cranes”, says Brückner.
Rothmund GmbH was founded in the Pforzheim area in 1982 as a crane company. Customers’ demands grew so quickly that, after eighteen months, three cranes were in operation and five after five years.
