Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 Joins Yunuslar Vinç for Bridge and Industrial Lifts
30-Second Takeaway
Turkish crane rental company Yunuslar Vinç has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 All Terrain crane. The six axle machine features a 90 metre telescopic boom, LICCON3 controls, VarioBase Plus variable outrigger positioning and AutoBallast. Its first assignments included installing a replacement school bridge in earthquake-affected Antakya and four oxygen tanks at an industrial facility in İskenderun. The investment strengthens the Malatya-based company’s capabilities for industrial, energy, steel construction and machinery installation projects across Turkey.

Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4
Yunuslar Vinç has added a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 to its fleet, putting the new 300 tonne crane directly into service on bridge reconstruction and industrial installation work.
The company selected the machine for its lifting capability, compact design, long telescopic boom and updated controls. Liebherr’s delivery announcement confirms that the addition brings Yunuslar’s Liebherr fleet to 15 cranes.
LTM 1300-6.4 Specifications
The LTM 1300-6.4 is a six axle All Terrain crane with a maximum rated capacity of 300 tonnes at a three metre radius. Its telescopic main boom extends from 14.7 to 90 metres, providing substantial reach without assembling a lattice boom.
Liebherr specifies a maximum hoist height of 120 metres and a maximum working radius of 94 metres, depending on configuration. The model accommodates up to 88 tonnes of counterweight and uses a 455kW, eight-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine.
The crane succeeds the LTM 1300-6.3, retaining the 90 metre boom while introducing LICCON3 controls and an updated crane design.
Variable Outriggers and Automated Ballasting
VarioBase Plus allows the outriggers to extend to different lengths, helping the crane accommodate obstacles and restricted setup areas. Its trapezoidal support geometry provides a wider rear support base and improved lifting capacities, particularly over the rear outriggers.
AutoBallast automates the counterweight installation sequence after activation by the operator. Mechanically adjustable VarioBallast allows the counterweight radius to change according to available space and lifting requirements.
LICCON3 adds greater computing power, storage capacity and a faster data bus to Liebherr’s crane control platform. The system is also prepared for telematics and fleet management functions.
First Assignment Supports Reconstruction in Antakya
The new crane’s first assignment was in Antakya, southern Turkey, where it helped install a school bridge replacing one destroyed in an earthquake.
The project placed the machine into reconstruction work immediately after delivery. Its second assignment took it to İskenderun, where it installed four oxygen tanks at an industrial facility.
These initial jobs demonstrate the different applications planned for the crane, from infrastructure replacement to the installation of industrial equipment.
Investment in Industrial and Energy Work
Yunuslar intends to deploy the LTM 1300-6.4 on heavy industrial projects, steel construction, energy developments and plant and machinery assembly throughout Turkey.
Liebherr’s announcement identifies a 22 metre fixed jib configuration selected by the customer, providing a reported lifting height of 112 metres. This is the company’s chosen working configuration rather than the model’s maximum available hoist height.
Managing director Nazif Gündoğdu also highlighted the company’s experience with its existing Liebherr equipment.
He said:
“As well as the crane’s technical capabilities, our positive experience with existing Liebherr equipment also played an important role.”
