New 300 Tonne Crane Expands Centro Oeste Fleet
Centro Oeste has strengthened its heavy lifting capabilities with the addition of Brazil’s first Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4. The six axle All Terrain crane provides a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes at a three metre radius. It features an eight section telescopic boom extending from 14.7 to 90 metres, a maximum hoist height of 120 metres and a maximum working radius of 94 metres.
Lattice jib configurations ranging from four to 43 metres further extend the crane’s operating flexibility. The combination of a long telescopic boom and optional lattice equipment makes the LTM 1300-6.4 suitable for work at significant heights and steep boom positions.
Centro Oeste plans to deploy the crane across large scale industrial operations, maintenance shutdowns, electromechanical installations, infrastructure and energy projects, port operations, and the construction and expansion of industrial facilities.

Designed for Reach and Operational Flexibility
The LTM 1300-6.4 succeeds the LTM 1300-6.3 within Liebherr’s six axle All Terrain crane range. Its 90 metre telescopic boom can be transported on the crane while maintaining a 12 tonne axle load, helping operators reduce additional transport requirements and prepare the crane more efficiently for certain assignments.
The crane can carry up to 88 tonnes of total ballast and uses Liebherr’s mechanically adjustable VarioBallast system. The counterweight radius can be changed between two positions, allowing the crane to work with a smaller radius in confined spaces or a larger radius when additional lifting capacity is required.
AutoBallast automates the ballasting sequence, completing the required steps after the operator initiates the process. The system is designed to reduce manual procedures and support faster crane preparation.
The LTM 1300-6.4 also uses a single engine concept. Its 455 kW, eight cylinder Liebherr diesel engine powers both the carrier and crane superstructure, eliminating the need for a separate superstructure engine.
Standard drive and steering is configured as 12 x 6 x 12, with 12 x 8 x 12 available as an option. The crane has a maximum road speed of 85 kilometres per hour.
VarioBase Plus Supports Confined Jobsite Operations
Liebherr’s VarioBase Plus system allows each outrigger to be extended to a different length, enabling the crane’s setup to be adapted to the space available at a jobsite.
The system combines variable outrigger positioning with a trapezoidal supporting structure. This configuration can provide higher lifting capacities, particularly over the crane’s rear outriggers.
For Centro Oeste, the technology provides additional flexibility when working inside industrial plants, ports and infrastructure sites where buildings, equipment or operating areas can limit the space available for crane setup.
The crane is also equipped with WindSpeed load charts for operating in different wind conditions. Available load charts account for maximum wind speeds of up to 15.6 metres per second, supporting lift planning and operational decision making when conditions change.
LICCON3 Makes Its Brazilian Debut
The delivery marks the first arrival of a crane equipped with Liebherr’s LICCON3 control system in Brazil.
LICCON3 is the third generation of Liebherr’s crane control platform. It retains the operating principles used in previous LICCON systems while introducing a redesigned operator interface, faster data transmission, increased storage capacity and greater computing power.
The system is also prepared for telematics and fleet management applications, creating opportunities to connect operational data with equipment monitoring and fleet management processes.
Additional operating technology includes ECOmode, which calculates the required engine speed during crane operation to reduce fuel consumption and noise, and ECOdrive, which reduces engine speed while travelling to support quieter operation and more efficient fuel use.
Continued Investment in Liebherr Equipment
Centro Oeste’s latest acquisition builds on an established relationship with Liebherr.
The company operates a fleet of approximately 110 vehicles, including mobile cranes across multiple capacity classes, loader cranes, forklifts and other lifting and material handling equipment.
