30 Second Takeaway

Wigan-based Marsden Crane Services has taken delivery of the second Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 all-terrain crane in the UK. The three-axle, 55-tonne crane has a five-section, 40-metre telescopic boom and a 16-metre bi-fold swingaway extension. The jib can be offset at 0, 20 or 40 degrees, giving a maximum onboard tip height of 58 metres. The crane also features Liebherr’s LICCON3 control system.

New crane joins Marsden’s all-terrain fleet

The LTM 1055-3.3 is the second crane of its type to arrive in the UK. Marsden Managing Director Lee Marsden said the company viewed the model as a strong fit for its fleet because of its combination of low axle loads, overall weight and lifting performance.

Marsden displayed the new crane at Vertikal Days.

Three-axle crane combines reach and lifting capacity

The LTM 1055-3.3 has a maximum lifting capacity of 55 tonnes and a 40-metre, five-section telescopic boom. Its 16-metre bi-fold swingaway extension can be offset at 0, 20 or 40 degrees, giving the crane a maximum onboard tip height of 58 metres.

The three-axle all-terrain crane is equipped with Liebherr’s LICCON3 control system. Its low axle loads and overall weight were among the factors Marsden cited in selecting the model for its operations.
