Tadano launches 35-tonne V320RC electric pick-and-carry crane
30 Second Takeaway
Tadano has released details of its 35-tonne V320RC, an all-electric pick-and-carry crane available with an enclosed cab, and the cabless V320R. Both models have a three-section, fully hydraulic 12-metre boom and can be configured with jibs, a tilting boom head, forks or a winch. A 120V, 1,120Ah battery system powers the cranes, with lithium-ion batteries available as an option. Developed with NMG Italia, the V320RC made its first commercial appearance at Marmomac in Verona, where NMG reported improved productivity during field trials.

New Valla cranes offer cabbed and cabless configurations
The V320RC has an enclosed operator cab, while the V320R is offered without one. Tadano says the models have almost identical performance and dimensions. Radio remote controls are standard on both versions.
Both cranes use a three-section, fully hydraulic boom with a maximum length of 12 metres. At a tip height of just over 13 metres, the crane can lift 15 tonnes at a position almost two metres in front of the chassis bumper.
Jibs and attachments expand the load chart
A two-metre fixed hydraulic luffing jib raises the tip height to just over 15 metres. With the jib fitted, the crane can lift 12.5 tonnes at almost three metres or 3.3 tonnes at a reach of 19.4 metres.
A 2.5-metre telescopic jib can handle 6.2 tonnes at a height of around 15.7 metres and 2.9 tonnes at an 11.6-metre forward reach. A tilting auxiliary boom head is available with hydraulic or mechanical offsets. It can lift 15 tonnes to a height of 14 metres at a two-metre reach, or four tonnes at 9.5 metres.
A fork attachment allows the crane to handle loads as an industrial telehandler. Tadano lists a 15-tonne maximum capacity with the forks, with capacity reducing to seven tonnes at a height of 12.5 metres and 1.6 tonnes at a maximum forward reach of nine metres. A winch is also available.
Battery-electric drive and operating controls
The cranes use a 120V, 1,120Ah battery system, with a lithium-ion battery pack available as an option. The electric motor drives a variable-displacement hydraulic pump paired with electro-hydraulic control valves. Tadano says the system and its next-generation control software are designed to improve precision and responsiveness while reducing energy consumption.
An integrated recognition system detects the installed attachment and counterweight configuration. A 10-inch screen then displays the corresponding load chart. The patented Ground Pressure Selection System (GPSS) monitors wheel loading in real time and alerts the operator if ground pressure exceeds preset limits.
Both models measure 2.15 metres wide. The chassis is five metres long, with an overall length of 6.2 metres. Stowed height is 2.4 metres, increasing to 2.8 metres with the winch installed. The cranes carry 10 tonnes of removable counterweight.
NMG Italia reports field trial productivity increase
Tadano developed the V320RC with NMG Italia, which contributed field experience and input from industrial lifting customers. During trials, NMG Italia reported a 50 percent productivity increase compared with its other cranes in similar applications and under similar loads. The company also reported that the crane could work for several days without recharging.
The V320RC’s first commercial work was at Marmomac, the marble industry exhibition in Verona, where it supported setup and dismantling operations.
“The crane exceeded expectations, highlighting precision, autonomy, quiet operation and manoeuvrability,” said NMG Italia.
About Tadano
Tadano is a global lifting equipment manufacturer whose history traces back to 1919. Its products include mobile cranes, pick-and-carry cranes, truck loader cranes and aerial work platforms. The Valla brand, now part of the Tadano Group, specialises in compact pick-and-carry cranes for lifting and moving loads in industrial settings. The V320RC and cabless V320R extend the Valla range with a 35-tonne all-electric model.
