Gromet Appoints Cintermaq as Spanish Distributor for Axolift Low-Level Platforms

30 Second Takeaway

Italian aerial lift manufacturer Gromet has appointed Cintermaq as the Spanish distributor for its Axolift-branded low-level access platforms. The partnership strengthens Axolift’s direct brand presence in Spain, complementing its existing OEM relationship with Svelt, and will officially launch at SMOPYC 2025 in Zaragoza.

Strategic Distribution Agreement in Spain

Gromet, the Italian manufacturer behind the Axolift brand, has expanded its European distribution network with the appointment of Cintermaq as its official distributor for Spain.

The agreement covers Axolift-branded low-level platforms, reinforcing Axolift’s commitment to building brand-led market presence alongside OEM supply arrangements.

Established Spanish Partner with National Reach

Cintermaq, based in Zaragoza, was founded in 1996 and specialises in compact access equipment and small construction machinery. Its product portfolio includes:

  • Almac self-levelling scissor and boom lifts

  • Mini dumpers

  • Pumps and compact construction equipment

With more than 10 sales agents operating nationwide, Cintermaq offers Axolift immediate country-wide coverage, supported by local expertise and rental-focused market knowledge.

Axolift’s Dual-Channel Strategy in Spain Explained

Axolift entered the Spanish market in 2025 through the appointment of Svelt España. However, that relationship operates under an OEM private-label model.

Under the Svelt agreement:

  • Axolift machines are sold rebranded as Svelt

  • Units are painted blue, not Axolift orange

  • Model names differ (e.g. Axolift Manulift 200 → Svelt 400)

  • Minor cosmetic and bumper changes distinguish the machines

The appointment of Cintermaq marks Axolift’s first distributor offering the machines under the Axolift brand in Spain.

Leadership Commentary

José Vicente Gracia, Chief Executive and majority shareholder at Cintermaq, said:

“We are extremely happy with our partnership with Axolift and very optimistic about the future of this cooperation. With more than 10 agents operating all over the country, we will be able to cover all areas of Spain and establish the Axolift brand in the Spanish market.”

Massimo Grossele, Chief Executive of Gromet / Axolift, added:

“We are pleased to start this new partnership with a well-established company like Cintermaq. This collaboration will allow us to further strengthen our presence in the Spanish market and better serve rental companies across the country.”

Official Launch at SMOPYC 2025

The new partnership will be officially launched at SMOPYC in Zaragoza this April, providing Spanish rental companies and end users the opportunity to see Axolift-branded platforms supported directly by Cintermaq.
