County Lifting Services Takes Delivery of 50-Tonne Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1

30-Second Takeaway

UK rental company County Lifting Services has added a 50-tonne Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 city-type all-terrain crane to its fleet. Named “Lily Grace”, the three-axle compact crane strengthens County’s capability for precision lifting, low-headroom work, and restricted-access environments.

50-Tonne Liebherr Joins County Fleet

County Lifting Services has taken delivery of a 50-tonne Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1, a compact, city-type all-terrain crane that has been named “Lily Grace.”

Finished in County Lifting livery, the crane becomes the company’s seventh new machine from Liebherr and its third LTC-series crane, continuing a long-standing relationship with the manufacturer.

Compact Three-Axle Design with Flexible Boom Options

The three-axle, single-cab LTC 1050-3.1 features a six-section, 36-metre main boom. The model can be equipped with a 7.5 to 13-metre bi-fold swingaway extension, delivering a maximum tip height of almost 52 metres.

County Lifting selected its crane with a 1.5-metre assembly jib, which can offset by up to 60 degrees and provides a 40-metre tip height. The crane can handle loads of up to 25 tonnes, and its sheaves can be replaced with an integral hook, making it suitable for low-headroom lifting operations.

Designed for Precision and Restricted-Access Work

The 1.5-metre assembly jib configuration enhances the crane’s suitability for confined environments and delicate lifting tasks where clearance is limited.

The crane is equipped with full remote controls for all superstructure functions, enabling precise positioning during complex lifts.

Advanced Operator Visibility and Safety Systems

Power is provided by a Stage V diesel engine, and the crane is fitted with Liebherr’s VarioBase® variable outrigger system, allowing flexible outrigger positioning and improved load capacities on constrained sites.

The cab design offers exceptional visibility: it retracts from the chassis to the superstructure and can elevate to an operator eye height of more than 7.8 metres, providing clear views over obstacles and surrounding structures.

Managing Director Highlights Fleet Fit

County Lifting Managing Director Steve Drury commented on the delivery:

“This is our seventh new machine from Liebherr and our third LTC crane. We worked closely with the team at Liebherr to ensure that this crane – christened ‘Lily Grace’ – would fulfil our needs and arranged for our branding – paint and signwriting – ahead of delivery. We are excited for its addition to our fleet of mobile cranes and thoroughly pleased with the end product.”

The handover was attended by Steve Drury of County Lifting and Paul Goodall of Liebherr.
