High above the Neckar valley, an impressive project is currently under construction: as part of the new Horb bypass, the Karlsruhe Regional Council is building a 667 metre long and around 65 metre high bridge, which will carry the B32 federal road over the Neckar in future. Two Liebherr cranes from Wiesbauer GmbH & Co. KG - an LR 1700-1.0 crawler crane and an LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane - were used to install solid steel plates on the underside of the two carriageway spans.

Wiesbauer GmbH & Co. KG, a large crane and heavy haulage company based in southern Germany, added a new Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 mobile crane to its fleet last summer. The crane was delivered with both versions of the telescopic equipment with lengths of 50 and 80 metres. The first deployment with the long T5 boom took place recently. The crane lifted large construction modules for a future school onto the flat roof of a clinic building.

Richi AG, based in Weiningen (canton of Zürich), has expanded its fleet with an LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane from Liebherr. For many years, the construction site of an international research facility in Darmstadt has witnessed mobile and crawler cranes being operated by Riga Mainz GmbH & Co. KG, a company specialising in crane and transport work. Now, mighty media bridges soaring some 20 metres into the air are being constructed around a building. Because of the limited crane parking space immediately adjacent to a building wall, the first module could only be lifted with the Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1

A Liebherr MK 88-4.1E mobile construction crane has installed massive noise barriers as part of the four-track expansion of the Rhine Valley railway between Karlsruhe and Basel. The crane installed elements weighing 900 kg at distances of up to 43 metres. The intelligent crane control system, including the freely programmable working area limitation, ensures a high level of safety and prevents the load from swiveling over the ongoing rail traffic.

Ehingen (Donau) (Germany), 16 September 2025 - The first Liebherr LTM 1100-5.3 mobile crane ever shipped to Switzerland recently rolled out of Liebherr-Baumaschine AG’s facility in Reiden (Lucerne canton). The company is responsible for the distribution and servicing of the Liebherr Group’s construction machinery in Switzerland.

For a challenging construction project in the Netherlands, the Liebherr LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane was the ideal construction crane thanks to its performance data in terms of load capacity, boom radius and lifting height, as well as its ability to move with heavy loads on its hook.

Ehingen (Donau), Germany, 1 August 2025 – During the construction of a major wildlife crossing, crane and transport company Affolter from Schüpfen (Canton of Bern) installed the substructure of the new bridge over six nights.

Lifting work with crawler cranes can be very challenging – especially on floating structures with varying inclinations or when lifting very long loads.

A Liebherr 520 EC-B 20 Fibre crane is currently supporting the construction of the new Schuman Bridge in Brest, France. Equipped with the advanced fibre rope technology, the crane impresses with its high load capacity, efficiency, and ease of use. Liebherr customer Saint-Yves Services confirms the benefits of the fibre rope in the demanding bridge construction and sets an example for forward-thinking solutions in infrastructure construction.

As part of a complex infrastructure project, WASEL GmbH deployed two LR 11000 crawler cranes from Liebherr for a spectacular mission on the A42 between Bottrop and Essen. An old concrete pipe bridge needed to be replaced with a modern steel construction. The bridge connects refineries in the region with the Bottrop tank farm, crossing both the A42 and the River Emscher.

As part of a major project, Peck Tiong Choon has invested in a new LTM 1120-4.1 from Liebherr. The powerful 4-axle crane not only enhances the company’s existing fleet but also marks a key step in modernizing its 100-tonne class. The decision to invest in Liebherr was based on more than 20 years of trusted partnership – characterized by technical excellence and outstanding reliability.

Rothmund GmbH und Montage has purchased another 230-tonne mobile crane from Liebherr. This is now already the fourth LTM 1230-5.1 in the Pforzheim-based company's fleet. The 5-axle model’s excellent flexibility, coupled with the 75-metre telescopic boom, were the key factors in the decision to invest in the same model again.
