Comansa Appoints Vivot Group as Caribbean Tower Crane Distributor

30 Second Takeaway

Comansa has signed a new distribution agreement with Vivot Group, expanding access to its tower crane portfolio across Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. The partnership combines Comansa’s global crane expertise with Vivot Group’s regional engineering, construction, and logistics capabilities to support growing demand for reliable, high-performance tower cranes in challenging Caribbean environments.

Strategic Expansion Across the Caribbean

Spanish tower crane manufacturer Comansa, through its North American arm Linden Comansa America, has entered into a new distribution partnership with Caribbean-based Vivot Group.

Under the agreement, Vivot Group becomes Comansa’s authorized distributor across key Caribbean markets, providing sales, customer support, and local market expertise as construction activity and demand for modern lifting solutions continue to grow in the region.

Meeting Demand for Reliability and Long-Term Support

According to Patrick Vivot, President of Vivot Group, contractors throughout the Caribbean are increasingly prioritizing equipment reliability and manufacturer-backed service.

“We have identified a demand for tower cranes in the Caribbean for new, high quality equipment paired with a superior level of service,” said Vivot. “Contractors are looking for reliable, modern machines that can perform consistently in demanding and harsh environments here in the Caribbean, supported by responsive technical assistance and strong local expertise. Meeting these expectations requires not only advanced crane technology, but also a commitment to long term support from a trusted manufacturer.”

Island construction environments often present logistical challenges, corrosive coastal conditions, and tight job sites, increasing the importance of durable crane design and responsive aftersales support.

Shared Values and Long-Term Vision

Joseph Patton, Sales Manager for Linden Comansa America, emphasized the alignment between the two organizations.

“We are excited to form a partnership between two family owned organizations aligned by shared values and a commitment to long term success,” said Patton. “Comansa’s deep technical and industry knowledge, together with Vivot’s local market expertise and customer focused approach, creates a strong foundation for a strong partnership.”

The agreement reflects Comansa’s continued strategy of expanding through strong regional partners capable of delivering localized service while maintaining global engineering standards.
