Omega Morgan Expands Seattle Presence Through Acquisition of Omega Riggers

30-Second Takeaway

Omega Morgan has acquired Seattle-based machinery moving and rigging specialist Omega Riggers, bringing the business fully under the Omega Morgan name. The move eliminates longstanding market confusion between the two similarly named companies while expanding resources, engineering support, and turnkey industrial service capabilities across the Seattle and Puget Sound region.

Acquisition Unites Two Established Rigging Providers

Omega Morgan, a US provider of heavy rigging, machinery moving, and specialised industrial services, has acquired Omega Riggers, a Seattle-based rigging and machinery moving company.

Following the transaction, Omega Riggers will operate as Omega Morgan, bringing the two organisations together under a single brand. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Omega Morgan said the acquisition will help alleviate confusion in the market, as the two companies have operated in the same region and were often mistaken for one another.

Focus on Continuity and Culture

Wes Cotter, owner of Omega Riggers, said the acquisition reflects years of discussion and a natural next step in the company’s growth.

“This is something we’ve talked about over several years,” said Cotter. “We’ve grown significantly over the last few years, and this felt like the right time to take the next step. The fit was right, the culture matched, and the timing made sense.”

Cotter will remain with the company and continue working closely with customers and teams throughout the transition.

“This decision was important to me because of our people,” he said. “I treat my team like family, and I wasn’t going to do anything that put that at risk.”

No Disruption for Employees or Clients

Omega Morgan confirmed that employees will continue in their current roles, with existing contracts and compensation remaining in place. Leadership emphasised that the transition is focused on growth and added support rather than cost reduction.

For customers, the acquisition maintains continuity while expanding the resources available behind each project.

“Customers will continue working with the same people they know,” Cotter said. “What changes is the level of support behind the scenes.”

As part of Omega Morgan, the combined Seattle team will have access to:

  • Additional engineering and planning support

  • A broader equipment base

  • Crane services

  • Turnkey project delivery capabilities

Strengthening Service Across the Puget Sound Region

Omega Morgan CEO Dick Ferchak said the acquisition enhances the company’s ability to serve the Seattle market while preserving local relationships.

“Seattle is a complex, demanding market, and Omega Riggers has built a strong reputation here,” said Ferchak. “By bringing our teams together, we’re adding depth and support behind that local expertise – more resources, more capability, and more long-term stability for customers and employees in the region.”

Omega Morgan added that the expanded Seattle presence will improve support for customers with multi-location or regional needs, while maintaining a relationship-driven local approach.
