Poland’s First Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 Strengthens Błażej & Roman’s Wind Power Capabilities

30-Second Takeaway

Błażej & Roman has taken a major strategic step with the acquisition of Poland’s first Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1, an 800-tonne mobile crane designed for high mobility and fast assembly. The investment significantly expands the company’s capacity in the wind energy sector, reinforcing its long-term market position and building on a trusted partnership with Liebherr Polska.

First LTM 1750-9.1 Delivered in Poland

Polish crane contractor Błażej & Roman took delivery of the country’s first Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane in December 2025, marking a milestone for both the company and the national lifting market.

The 800-tonne-class crane represents a significant upgrade in lifting capability and is expected to play a central role in supporting wind power projects across Poland and neighboring markets.

Board Member Tomasz Kasperski described the acquisition as both an opportunity and a responsibility:

“The purchase of the LTM 1750-9.1 is a dream come true for us. We see great opportunities and numerous possible applications for our new powerhouse.”

Expanding Wind Energy Capabilities

The new LTM 1750-9.1 will be deployed primarily on wind farms, where it will support pre-installation work and maintenance operations on modern wind turbines.

Kasperski highlighted the strategic importance of the crane for renewable energy work:

“In the wind energy sector especially, we will be able to significantly expand our portfolio. With the LTM 1750-9.1, we can fulfil our customers’ expectations even better and take on larger lifting tasks.”

The investment strengthens Błażej & Roman’s ability to support increasingly demanding turbine sizes and lifting heights while improving efficiency on site.

High Mobility and Fast Assembly for Wind Farms

A key advantage of the LTM 1750-9.1 is its high mobility and efficient setup, making it particularly well suited for wind farm environments.

Notable features include:

  • Transport of the complete telescopic boom on public roads with a 12-tonne axle load

  • Self-installation of rear outriggers using an additional rear outrigger, without an auxiliary crane

  • Crane setup functions powered directly by the chassis engine

  • Separate transport of the superstructure powertrain and integrated ballast device, which are mounted on site by the crane itself

These features reduce setup time and logistical complexity, enabling faster deployment across multiple wind turbine locations.

Long-Term Partnership with Liebherr Polska

Błażej & Roman emphasized that its long-standing partnership with Liebherr Polska played a decisive role in the investment decision.

“Our long-standing collaboration with Liebherr Polska has shown us how important it is to have reliable partners,” said Kasperski. “We can always rely on professional support, whether in spare parts supply, service, or the purchase process.”

The partnership enables Błażej & Roman to offer customers reliable equipment, flexibility, and qualified personnel across complex lifting projects.

Strengthening Market Position

The addition of the LTM 1750-9.1 further strengthens Błażej & Roman’s presence on construction sites in both Poland and Germany, enhancing its ability to deliver demanding lifts in construction, industry, and renewable energy sectors.

“The investment strengthens our market position in the long term. We are convinced that we’ve made the right decision and hope to look back on it positively for many years to come,” Kasperski added.
