Tadano Strengthens European Leadership, Expands Investments, and Unveils Latest Innovations

Tadano Leadership Reinforcements in Europe

Effective October 1, Tadano is implementing key senior management changes in Germany. Noriaki Yashiro will assume the role of president and CEO of Tadano Demag GmbH and Tadano Faun GmbH, taking full responsibility for Tadano’s European operations.

To further bolster operations:

  • Dean Barley, president and CEO of Tadano America Corp., Manitex International, and Tadano Mantis Corp., will also oversee sales, customer support, marketing, and quality control in Europe.

  • Hiroyuki Goda, CTO of Tadano Ltd., will head research and development for mobile crane engineering in Europe.

  • Stefan Matthaei will lead production, logistics, and purchasing at the German facilities.

Investing in German Facilities

Tadano is continuing its multimillion-euro investments in its German sites at Zweibrücken and Lauf:

  • Zweibrücken: land acquisition, new repair workshop, upgraded production, and improved logistics.

  • Lauf: construction of a new European spare parts center (set to open mid-2026), expanded storage capacity, and new boom assembly lines.

These enhancements reinforce Tadano’s long-term commitment to Germany as a hub for global crane innovation.


Customer Focus: Dornseiff Expands City Crane Fleet

Long-time Tadano partner Dornseiff Autokrane und Schwertransporte GmbH has added another AC 3.045-1 City crane to its fleet, trading in an older AC 40 City. With four units now in operation, Dornseiff highlights the compact crane’s unmatched performance in confined spaces.

Anja Reger, operations manager at Dornseiff’s Olpe location, explained:

“We’ll be using the AC 3.045-1 primarily inside buildings to install overhead cranes and move machinery. Its compact design makes it unbeatable for these jobs, where conventional mobile cranes reach their limits.”

Product Innovation: The New GTC-600-2

Tadano also introduced the GTC-600-2, a 60-ton telescopic boom crawler crane that replaces the GTC-550. Key features include:

  • 113.8 ft full-power boom with extensions up to 49.9 ft.

  • OPTI-WIDTH™ system for flexible lifting capacities up to 4° out of level.

  • Transport efficiency as a one-truck machine.

  • Advanced control with Tadano AML-C Rated Capacity Indicator, load charts for slopes up to 4°, and operator-defined work zone limits.

Powered by a Cummins Tier 4f / Euromot IV QSB6.7 engine, the GTC-600-2 is designed for versatility across bridge, heavy civil, power transmission, and foundation projects.
