Cadman Cranes Becomes First UK Operator of Tadano’s AC 4.080-1 All-Terrain Crane

Updated: Dec 27, 2025

30-Second Takeaway

Cadman Cranes has become the first company in the UK to add the Tadano AC 4.080-1 to its fleet, selecting the compact four-axle all-terrain crane to fill a key capacity gap. Designed for tight working environments, long-reach lifts, and UK road regulations, the AC 4.080-1 delivers strong performance with a 60-metre main boom and the ability to carry its full counterweight within axle limits, making it an efficient, highly flexible solution for modern lifting challenges.

Tadano AC 4.080-1

For Matt Waddingham, Managing Director at Cadman, Tadano developed the AC 4.080-1 just at the right time: "We were looking for a compact 4-axle crane to fill a gap in our fleet and the introduction of this new concept was the perfect fit".

The Essex-based crane service provider oftenworks in tight spaces, lifting loads over long distances. With its compact design, its 60-meter-long main boom andstepless outrigger system “Flex Base”, the AC 4.080-1 is an ideal fit for the job and will excel in such conditions.

And Tadano Sales Manager Tim Leech also sees the concept of the AC 4.080-1 confirmed: "This newly developed crane is consistently geared to the needs of our customers. The fact that Cadman has now decided in favor of it makes me very proud - especially as it is the first AC 4.080-1 on the British market," he says, visibly pleased about the sale to Cadman.

The Tadano AC 4.080-1 also offers another decisive advantage, especially for the UK market: thanks to the 16.5-tonne axle load limit in force there, it can carry its entire counterweight of 17.7 tonnes plus 600 kilograms of payload - making costly additional transport unnecessary.
